\nThe unveiling ceremony of the trophy for the 62nd National Badminton Championship was held at the Peshawar Sports Complex. The chief guest of the ceremony was Advisor to the Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand who formally unveiled the trophy.
\nOn the occasion Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tashfeen Haider, Director Sports Merged Districts Umar Arshad Khan, CEO Buraq Builders Ali Haider Babakhel, Assistant Director Finance Shah Faisal, General Secretary Provincial Badminton Association Mian Sadaqatullah, Chief Coach Shafqatullah, Regional Sports Officer Kashif Farhan, renowned singer and event brand ambassador Sehrish Khan, Administrator Yousaf Afridi and other notable personalities were also present.
\nAddressing the ceremony Advisor for Sports Taj Muhammad Tarand said that hosting the National Badminton Championship in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a welcome step which will provide young athletes of the province with greater opportunities to learn and showcase their talents. He stated that in line with the provincial government\u2019s manifesto, quality sports facilities are being provided to athletes across all districts and full support for the promotion of sports will continue in the future as well.
\nHe expressed hope that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa players would deliver outstanding performances in the National Badminton Championship. At the end of the ceremony, the provincial government announced financial assistance of Rs. 500,000 for the National Badminton Championship.
\nThe 62nd National Badminton Championship will commence on February 1 at the Peshawar Sports Complex, with more than 100 male and female players from across the country participating in the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
