The Islamabad High Court has assigned diary number 24561 to Bushra Bibi\u2019s petition and 24560 to Imran Khan\u2019s appeal.<br \/>\nIn their petitions, the appellants argued that the trial court relied on statements from Anamullah Shah, who had already been removed, and depended on the testimony of a \u201cpromise of pardon\u201d witness, which was not admissible. The prosecution, they claimed, failed to prove the case against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.<br \/>\nThe appeals seek to have the Toshakhana-II case verdict annulled, asserting that:<br \/>\n\u2022 One cannot be sentenced multiple times for the same offence.<br \/>\n\u2022 The Special Central Court did not have jurisdiction to hear the case.<br \/>\n\u2022 Sohaib Abbasi was illegally appointed as a \u201cstate witness.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 According to Toshakhana rules, the former ruling couple was entitled to retain the Bulgarian seat items in their possession.<br \/>\n\u2022 The case was registered without proper investigation and constitutes political victimisation.<br \/>\n\u2022 The appellants do not fall under the definition of a government employee.<br \/>\nThe petitions also request that the court schedule the appeals for early hearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are expected to have their petitions challenging the Toshakhana-II case verdict heard in the Islamabad High Court later this week.
