Nine terrorists killed in KP operations

\nSecurity forces gunned down nine terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
\nThe operations were conducted in Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu districts on December 19, read a press release issued by the military\u2019s media wing.
\nForces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Dera Ismail Khan district on the reported presence of terrorists. \u201cDuring the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khawarij location and after an intense fire exchange, four khawarij were sent to hell,\u201d the ISPR said.
\nAnother IBO was conducted in Bannu district, where \u201cfive more khawarij were effectively neutralised by the security forces\u201d, it added.
\nThe ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the target killing of innocent civilians.
