\nIslamabad has rebuffed Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar\u2019s \u201chighly inflammatory, baseless, and irresponsible comments\u201d remarks against Pakistan Army, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Sunday.
\nAccording to Indian media, Jaishankar alleged that many of Delhi\u2019s problems with Islamabad \u201cemanated from the Pakistan Army\u201d. \u201cThe ideological hostility towards India comes from the Pakistan Army,\u201d the Indian foreign minister alleged in an interview with NDTV.
\nIn a rebuttal, FO Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said that Pakistan remains a responsible state, saying that all national institutions \u2014 including the armed forces \u2014 are committed to protecting the country\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
\n\u201cPakistan is a responsible state and its all institutions, including armed forces, are a pillar of national security, dedicated to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country,\u201d Andrabi added.
\nHe said the May 2025 conflict demonstrated the professionalism and resolve of Pakistan\u2019s military in countering Indian aggression.
\n\u201cThe May 2025 conflict vividly demonstrated Pakistan armed forces\u2019 professionalism as well as their resolve to defend the motherland and the people of Pakistan against any Indian aggression in a befitting, effective yet responsible manner,\u201d the statement read. \u201cNo amount of propaganda can belie this truth.\u201d
\nThe spokesperson said the attempts by Indian leadership to defame Pakistan\u2019s state institutions and its leadership are part of a propaganda campaign designed to distract attention from New Delhi\u2019s destabilising actions in the region and beyond, as well as state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan. \u201cSuch incendiary rhetoric only exemplifies the extent of India\u2019s disregard for amity, peace, and stability in our region.\u201d
\nAndrabi added that instead of making misleading remarks about the armed forces of Pakistan, India must investigate the fascist and revisionist Hindutva ideology that has unleashed a reign of mob justice, lynchings, arbitrary detentions, and demolition of properties and places of worship.
\n\u201cIndian state and leadership both have become hostages of this terror in the name of religion.\u201d
\nDespite the tensions, Andrabi reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to \u201cco-existence, dialogue and diplomacy,\u201d while maintaining that the country remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and national interests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
