{"id":89326,"date":"2025-11-08T05:42:35","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T00:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=89326"},"modified":"2025-11-08T05:42:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-08T00:42:35","slug":"under-pm-capacity-building-initiative-3rd-batch-of-224-trainees-departs-for-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/under-pm-capacity-building-initiative-3rd-batch-of-224-trainees-departs-for-china\/","title":{"rendered":"Under PM capacity building initiative 3rd Batch of 224 trainees departs for China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain Friday said that the government is determined to revolutionize Pakistan\u2019s agriculture sector by empowering youth with modern knowledge and practical skills.<br \/>\nHe expressed these views at a special send-off ceremony organized at NARC for a new cohort of 224 Pakistani agriculture graduates departing for China under the Prime Minister\u2019s Special Capacity-Building Initiative.<br \/>\nThe minister said that this initiative reflects the Prime Minister\u2019s vision to build a modern, innovative, and climate-resilient agriculture sector through technology transfer and international collaboration.<br \/>\nHe noted that China\u2019s remarkable success in agricultural transformation provides an excellent model for Pakistan to emulate, especially in areas of seed development, smart farming, crop breeding, and livestock management. \u201cOur young professionals are the real ambassadors of Pakistan\u2019s agricultural future,\u201d he said.<br \/>\n\u201cThey will return not only with advanced technical expertise but also with the confidence to drive change and uplift farming communities across the country.\u201d<br \/>\nUnder this batch, a total of 224 trainees will receive specialized training in two leading Chinese institutions. The Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University (NWAFU) in Shaanxi will host participants in disciplines such as crop genetic breeding, preventive veterinary medicine, agricultural intelligent equipment, animal genetic breeding, and reproduction.<br \/>\nAnother group will train at Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU) in Wuhan through a joint venture with Qingfa-Heshang Agricultural Development Company, focusing on seed production and processing.<br \/>\nRana Tanveer Hussain appreciated the Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR) and its partner institutions, including the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and Pakistan\u2019s Embassy in Beijing, for their effective coordination in implementing the Prime Minister\u2019s vision.<br \/>\nHe also lauded the transparent and merit-based selection process, which ensured representation from all provinces, including a dedicated quota for Balochistan.<br \/>\nThe minister emphasized that investing in human capital is the foundation of sustainable agricultural growth, adding that trained graduates will act as catalysts for innovation and productivity enhancement in Pakistan\u2019s agriculture sector.<br \/>\nHe said that these consistent efforts under the Prime Minister\u2019s Capacity-Building Program demonstrate Pakistan\u2019s firm commitment to learning from China\u2019s experience in agricultural modernization and applying that knowledge to strengthen national food security and rural prosperity.<br \/>\nRana Tanveer Hussain reaffirmed that this collaboration represents not just an academic partnership but a strategic pillar of the Pakistan\u2013China friendship, aligning with the broader goals of the China\u2013Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).<br \/>\nHe expressed confidence that upon their return, the graduates will play a crucial role in modernizing agriculture, introducing climate-smart practices, and boosting Pakistan\u2019s agricultural exports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain Friday said that the government is determined to revolutionize Pakistan\u2019s agriculture sector by empowering youth with modern knowledge and practical skills.
