Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engr Amir Muqam on Wednesday said that the 6th November marks one of the darkest and most tragic chapter in the history of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
\nIn his message on the occasion of Jammu Martyrs\u2019 Day (6th November 2025), the minister emphasized that on this day in 1947, hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslims in Jammu were mercilessly massacred by the forces of the Dogra regime and armed RSS groups, in a state-sponsored campaign of ethnic cleansing aimed at altering the region\u2019s demographic composition.
\nHe said that this massacre, often described as Kashmir\u2019s Holocaust, symbolizes the systematic attempt to erase the Muslim identity of the region. The tragedy continues to resonate today, as the people of IIOJK face ongoing occupation, arbitrary detentions, communication blockades, and suppression of fundamental freedoms.
\nAmir Muqam stressed that the events of November 1947 are inseparable from the unlawful measures of August 5, 2019, when India unilaterally revoked Articles 370 and 35A, launching a deliberate campaign of demographic engineering and intensified repression in blatant violation of international law.
\n\u201cWe also remember the Hurriyat leadership, who continue to face prolonged detention and persecution for upholding the cause of their people. Pakistan is effectively highlighting the grave human rights abuses in IIOJK and standing shoulder to shoulder with its Kashmiri brethren until justice and freedom are achieved,\u201d he added.
\nOn this solemn occasion, the minister said that we pay homage to the martyrs of Jammu and reaffirm Pakistan\u2019s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for self-determination, as enshrined in the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, which collectively affirm that the future of Jammu and Kashmir shall be determined through a free and impartial plebiscite under UN supervision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
