Pakistan has always tried to be a good neighbor, said Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, while talking to media on Sunday at his residence in Chiniot.
\n He points to Pakistan\u2019s 40-year history of hosting millions of Afghan refugees as proof. \u201cWe helped them when they needed it,\u201d he says. \u201cNow we hope Afghanistan will do the right thing and not let terrorist groups use their country to hurt us.\u201d
\nMinister Sheikh further added Pakistan\u2019s reputation in the world is the best it\u2019s ever been. A big reason, he said, is a new defense deal with Saudi Arabia \u2013 a deal people are calling \u201chistoric\u201d in the Muslim world. \u201cIt makes Pakistan stronger and more respected,\u201d he stressed proudly.
\nHe added that the federal government has announced a major relief package for the flood-affected areas.
