\nPakistan\u2019s women\u2019s cricket team suffered their second consecutive defeat during the ongoing Women\u2019s World Cup 2025 as India beat the Green Shirts by 88 runs in Colombo on Sunday.
\nAfter opting to bowl first, the national side dismissed India for 247 \u2014 the first time they have done so in the One-Day International (ODI) format.
\nHowever, Pakistan\u2019s batting line-up faltered in the chase, and they were bowled out for 159 in 43 overs.
\nFans lashed out at the Green Shirts for failing against the arch-rivals, similar to the men\u2019s team on the big stage.
\nA heartbroken fan stated that the women\u2019s team was worse than the men\u2019s cricket team.
\nIn an apparent jibe at both men\u2019s and women\u2019s sides, a user wrote, \u201cPakistan Women\u2019s team can only win against one side in this wide world and that is Pakistan Men\u2019s team.\u201d
\nFans also slammed the dismal strike rate of the national side while chasing the 248-run target in the high-stakes game.
\n\u201cPakistan women playing better test than their men\u2019s team,\u201d a fan wrote.
