Declaring PTI members independent
\nPESHAWAR
\nPeshawar High Court (PHC) has sought reply from Election Commission (EC) on the petition filed by Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur against declaring PTI members independent.
\nCM KP Ali Amin Gandapur petition against declaring PTI legislators independent and administering oath to members elected on reserved seats came up for hearing before Justice Syed Arshid Ali and justice Farrukh Jamshed Tuesday.
\nDuring the hearing of case, the court summoned the schedule from speaker provincial assembly for administering oath to the members elected on reserved seats.
\nAdvocate General (AG) Shah Faisal Itmankhel told the court that CM KP has filed petition against declaring PTI members independent. Administering oath to the members elected on reserved seats in Governor House has also been challenged.
\nCounsel for EC took the plea in the court the petitions which relate to oath taking are not maintainable.
\nJustice Syed Arshid Ali remarked you should file reply in this regard that this petition is not maintainable. Advocate General you have objection on their oath taking . Speaker provincial assembly is administering oath to them when. Bring schedule from speaker that when they will administer oath to members of assembly.
\nAdvocate General said it is my request that the petition filed by CM KP against declaring PTI members independent be decided first. All these petitions be heard concurrently.
\nJustice Syed Arshid Ali remarked we will see it that we have to hear it concurrently or otherwise. Notice has been issued to Attorney General too on it.
\nAdditional Attorney General (AAG) Sana Ullah told the court he will inform the court after obtaining permission from Attorney General.
\nThe court remarked you should seek permission from Attorney General that you will give arguments in this case.
