{"id":84764,"date":"2025-08-03T10:50:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-03T05:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=84764"},"modified":"2025-08-03T10:50:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-03T05:50:07","slug":"khans-sons-will-get-visas-if-applied-talal-chaudhry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/khans-sons-will-get-visas-if-applied-talal-chaudhry\/","title":{"rendered":"Khan\u2019s sons will get visas if applied: Talal Chaudhry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad<br \/>\nMinister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that the sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan will be issued visas or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) if they require them, adding that there will be no obstruction in the process.<br \/>\nSpeaking on Geo News programme \u2018Naya Pakistan\u2019, the PML-N Senator said that if the PTI founder\u2019s sons have applied for Pakistani visas, they will be granted without any hindrance.<br \/>\nHe assured that if the tracking number of their visa application is shared with him, he will personally ensure that the issue is resolved.<br \/>\nChaudhry reiterated that the government\u2019s stance from day one has been to hold dialogue on national issues. He added that several attempts had been made in the past to initiate talks in this regard.<br \/>\nHis statement came after ex-premier\u2019s sister Aleema Khan said that Kasim and Sulaiman have applied for NICOP \u2014 the identity card issued to Pakistani citizens residing outside the country and allowing visa-free entry.<br \/>\nShe told reporters that they possessed NICOP, but it had since then been lost.<br \/>\nSulaiman and Kasim\u2019s purported visit to Pakistan to meet their father. Recently, reports surfaced Khan had barred from travelling to Pakistan and partaking in any political activity.<br \/>\nHowever, soon after such reports surfaced, the party rubbished them, stating that there\u2019s no doubt that Sulaiman (28) and Kasim (26) would visit Pakistan for their father.<br \/>\nThe 71-year-old cricketer-turned-politician has been behind bars since August 2023 after he was booked in multiple cases ranging from corruption to terrorism since his ouster from power via the opposition\u2019s no-trust motion in April 2022.<br \/>\nKasim called attention to their father\u2019s imprisonment for the first time publicly in May. Taking to X in June, he expressed concern over Imran\u2019s condition in the jail.<br \/>\nHe wrote: \u201cMy father, former prime minister Imran Khan, has now spent over 700 days in prison \u2014 held in solitary confinement. He is denied access to his lawyers, not allowed visits from his family, fully cut off from us (his children), and even his personal doctor is refused entry. This is not justice.
