The primary aim of this strategic partnership is to address the challenges in the field of maternal and child health through a comprehensive approach and to develop a well-trained midwifery workforce. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq, Vice Chancellor of KMU, and Dr. Luay Shabaneh, Country Representative of UNFPA Pakistan.<br \/>\nUnder the agreement, UNFPA will support the professional development of KMU faculty through specialized training sessions conducted under the supervision of international experts. In addition, UNFPA will assist in the establishment of a state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Laboratory at KMU\u2019s Institute of Nursing Sciences in Peshawar to provide practical training to midwifery students.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq stated that this partnership is a positive step towards improving maternal and child health. It will not only enhance KMU\u2019s academic capacity but also contribute to aligning midwifery education in Pakistan with global standards.<br \/>\nHe further emphasized that KMU\u2019s unique model of integrating various health disciplines under one roof is yielding meaningful results, leading to the development of a more effective and comprehensive healthcare system.
