\nGovernment has dropped petrol bombshell on people with scaling up price of petroleum products enormously for next 15 days.
\nFinance ministry has issued notification in this regard.
\nAccording to notification price of petrol and diesel has been increased by Rs 8.36 per liter and Rs 10.39 per liter respectively for next 15 days.
\nWith this hike , price of petrol has been increased from Rs 258.43 to Rs 266.79 per liter.
\nLikewise the price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs 10.39 per liter. New price of high speed diesel has been enhanced from Rs 262.59 per liter to Rs 272.98 per liter.
\nThe enhanced prices of petroleum products will stand implemented immediately.
\nIt is pertinent to mention here OGRA sent summary to ministry of petroleum. Later the finance minister made final announcement in increase in price of petroleum products after consultation with Prime Minister.
\nWith the implementation of finance bill taxes have also been increased on petroleum products. Petroleum levy ration has been enhanced.
\nUnder new finance bill climate support tax has been slapped on petroleum products.
\nPetroleum levy has been increased by Rs 8.64 per liter on high speed diesel. This way levy has been enhanced from Rs 74.51 per liter to Rs 83.15 per liter on high speed diesel.
\nLevy has been increased by Rs 8.64 per liter on petrol. This way levy has been raised from Rs 75.52 per liter to Rs 84.16 per liter on petrol.
\nPetroleum levy has been enhanced by Rs 2.15 per liter on high Octane. Under it levy on high octane has been scaled up from Rs 75.52 per liter to Rs 77.67 per liter.
