Laura Akram\u2019s assured medal marks a significant milestone for women\u2019s combat sports in Pakistan, a field that has often struggled for recognition and support.<br \/>\nNext up for Akram is a semifinal showdown against Mongolia\u2019s Michidmaa Erdenedalai.
