No casualties were reported in the accident.<br \/>\nAccording to the railway authorities, the 40 down Quetta-bound Jaffar express coming from Peshawar train derailed due to \u201ctechnical\u201d reasons, and the train traffic would be restored \u201csoon\u201d after maintenance of the affected track and of damaged coaches.<br \/>\nSoon after the incident, the local police, railway police and senior officials of the Railway maintenance department rushed to the scene to investigate the incident and initiate rehabilitation work on the main track.
