ISLAMABAD
\nGovernor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday underscored the critical role of women in Pakistan\u2019s progress, reiterating the government\u2019s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for women across all sectors.
\nHe made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the social organization \u2018Women Empowerment Initiative\u2019 at the Governor\u2019s House in Islamabad.
\nThe delegation, headed by Chairperson Qurat-ul-Ain, included Vice Chairperson Hina Zafar, Legal Advisor Sardar Naseem Khan, Sheikh Muhammad Shafiq, and Tariq Mehmood.
\nDiscussions focused on women\u2019s empowerment, their active participation in society, and the importance of collaborative efforts to uplift women in marginalized communities.
\nGovernor Kundi highlighted the government\u2019s ongoing initiatives to enhance women\u2019s involvement in education, healthcare, and employment, stressing the need for joint action by public and private sectors to accelerate progress.
\nAcknowledging the efforts of the Women Empowerment Initiative, the Governor said such endeavors not only promote women\u2019s welfare but also help build a more peaceful and prosperous society.
\nThe delegation briefed the Governor on its projects, including vocational training, domestic violence prevention, and support for small-scale female entrepreneurs.
\nThe organization also requested the Governor to serve as its patron. While declining any formal role, Governor Kundi assured the delegation of his full support, pledging to contribute to social welfare in every possible way.
\nMeanwhile, Member of the National Assembly Noor Alam Khan met with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. The meeting focused on the current political situation in the country as well as other matters of mutual interest.
\nDuring the discussion, both leaders also exchanged views on public welfare initiatives, development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and future political strategies.
\nOn the occasion, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that the challenges facing the country can only be addressed through political stability and the continuation of the democratic process.
