Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to name roads in each other\u2019s capitals to strengthen bilateral ties, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced on Tuesday.
\nDuring a meeting between CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Kazakhstan\u2019s Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, the two sides decided to name a road in Astana after Pakistan\u2019s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

\nIn return, Islamabad will name a road after Kazakhstan\u2019s national poet, Abai Qunanbauly.<\/p>\n
The ceremonies will take place during the Kazakh president\u2019s upcoming visit to Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Kistafin praised CDA\u2019s efforts in developing Islamabad and expressed Kazakhstan\u2019s commitment to boosting economic, tourism, and trade cooperation.
\n\u201cWe appreciate CDA\u2019s initiatives in maintaining Islamabad\u2019s beauty and progress,\u201d he said.
\nThe discussions also covered key joint projects, including a modern slaughterhouse, a Business Facilitation Center, and a state-of-the-art football stadium in Islamabad.
\nBoth sides agreed to appoint focal persons for closer coordination.
\nChairman Randhawa highlighted Islamabad\u2019s development projects, such as electric buses, food streets, and adventure parks, and stressed the importance of stronger business and cultural ties.

\n\u201cPakistan values its brotherly relations with Kazakhstan,\u201d he said.
\nThe Kazakh envoy invited Randhawa to Astana for further talks on mutual cooperation.
\nThe meeting ended with the exchange of souvenirs.
