\nPakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with top-performing domestic cricketers on Sunday, issuing immediate directives to resolve their concerns regarding fitness, skill development, and diet management.
\nThe meeting followed Pakistan\u2019s early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy, where they became the first team eliminated despite being the tournament hosts.
\nThe discussion took place at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, where young cricketers raised key issues related to high-performance training, particularly challenges in fitness management and diet planning.
\nIn response, Naqvi assured them of the PCB\u2019s commitment to player development, granting access to all cricket academies across the country and instructing officials to introduce specialized diet plans aimed at enhancing physical fitness and on-field performance.
\nNaqvi also emphasised the need for experienced trainers to oversee the conditioning of emerging players. Encouraging the young cricketers, he remarked, \u201cYou are the future stars of Pakistan. Providing you with the necessary resources is an investment in the bright future of Pakistan cricket.\u201d
\nMedia reports suggest that some of these domestic performers may be considered for Pakistan\u2019s upcoming tour of New Zealand, where senior players could be rested.
\nThe tour includes five T20Is and three ODIs, scheduled from March 16 to April 5, with the squad set to depart on March 12.
