Adviser to the Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, has slammed the ongoing power struggle between ministers of Sindh and Punjab, calling it proof of the \u201copen hypocrisy\u201d of the PML-N and PPP.
\nHe accused both parties of engaging in a political charade while fighting over the spoils of power.
\n\u201cTheir governance has become a practical example of \u2018eat in the middle and cry in the middle,\u2019\u201d Saif remarked, adding that government allies were at odds over wealth distribution rather than public welfare.
\nHe further alleged that before Ramadan, sugar prices were deliberately hiked by rulers benefiting from their own factories.
\nMr Saif highlighted the alarming increase of Rs 6,106 billion in Pakistan\u2019s debts and liabilities within a year under the PML-N and PPP rule, pushing the country\u2019s total debt beyond Rs 88,000 billion.
\nHe described this surge as a testament to economic devastation, blaming the government for plunging both the public and the economy into crisis.
