{"id":76111,"date":"2025-01-27T09:07:43","date_gmt":"2025-01-27T04:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=76111"},"modified":"2025-01-27T09:07:43","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T04:07:43","slug":"naqvi-denies-attending-anti-china-event-in-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/naqvi-denies-attending-anti-china-event-in-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Naqvi denies attending anti-China event in US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>houston<br \/>\nFederal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi dismissed allegations of participating in any anti-China event during his recent visit to the United States, labelling the claims as \u201ctoxic propaganda.\u201d<br \/>\nSpeaking to the media in Houston, Naqvi clarified that his visit was centred on formulating an effective strategy against terrorism, Express News reported.<br \/>\nHe denied attending any anti-China functions and said that such baseless propaganda would not affect Pakistan\u2019s bilateral relations.<br \/>\n\u201cMy presence at a youth event is being misrepresented,\u201d Naqvi said.<br \/>\n\u201cI was not part of any anti-China gathering, and such false narratives make no difference to our commitments.\u201d<br \/>\nNaqvi also highlighted that countering terrorism is a shared responsibility, adding that Pakistan remains resolute in dealing with those taking up arms against the country.<br \/>\nThe minister revealed that his trip included meetings with U.S. lawmakers, aimed at devising joint plans to combat terrorism.<br \/>\n\u201cThis is not just Pakistan\u2019s fight; it is a collective battle,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nDuring discussions with members of the US Congress, Naqvi said both sides explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations.<br \/>\nHe called for global cooperation to resolve Pakistan\u2019s challenges and emphasised that politicising issues to harm Pakistan\u2019s interests should be avoided.<br \/>\nYesterday, Mohsin Naqvi met with a high-level delegation from the US-Pakistan Business Council at the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, Express News reported.<br \/>\nDuring the meeting, they held detailed discussions on increasing investment and cooperation in the mining and information technology sectors.<br \/>\nMinister Naqvi invited American investors to invest in Pakistan\u2019s mining and IT sectors. He also listened to the issues faced by US companies operating in Pakistan, assuring that these issues would be addressed on a priority basis.<br \/>\nHe emphasised that the US-Pakistan Business Council could benefit from the numerous investment opportunities available in Pakistan.<br \/>\nHe added that Pakistan is on the path to economic stability, with improving economic indicators, and that the country\u2019s economy is poised for growth.<br \/>\nMinister Naqvi invited the US-Pakistan Business Council to take advantage of investment opportunities in Pakistan. He also mentioned improvements in the issuance of necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs).<br \/>\nThe Minister assured the US-Pakistan Business Council that special facilities would be provided on a priority basis.<br \/>\nThe meeting was attended by Charles Freeman, Senior Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce, Esperanza Jalalain, Executive Director and President of the US-Pakistan Business Council, Abel Torres, Executive Director of the Center for Global Regulatory Corporation, and Manisha Vepa, Manager of the US-Pakistan Business Council.
