HARIPUR
\nUmar Ayub Khan, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and a central figure in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has stated that PTI\u2019s negotiating committee is focused on a singular agenda\u2014the establishment of the rule of law in the country.
\nSpeaking at a ceremony to congratulate newly elected Cabinet President Hanif Akhtar Khan, General Secretary Malik Muhammad Iqbal, and other cabinet members at Haripur Press Club, Ayub declared 2025 as the \u201cyear of change,\u201d asserting that the current weak government cannot alter PTI\u2019s momentum.
\nHe also highlighted the dire economic situation, warning that the country\u2019s economic challenges will worsen, including an impending increase in electricity prices.
\nAyub accused the incumbent government of worsening the country\u2019s financial crisis, claiming that it had imposed restrictions on free media and engaged in costly contracts that primarily benefited the ruling party.
\nAyub pointed to PTI\u2019s significant achievements, including the establishment of Al-Qader University, aimed at promoting Islamic education and research on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
\nHe also questioned the source of funds for the London property purchased by Hasan Nawaz, the son of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and demanded transparency regarding the money transfer from Pakistan.
\nFurthermore, Ayub criticized former Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, accusing him of complicity in the case against Imran Khan. He alleged that a businessman had transferred money to the account of the Supreme Court at Isa\u2019s behest, suggesting that further investigation into these financial transactions would expose the truth.
