\nKARACHI: Pakistani adventurer Samar Khan successfully scaled Mount Aconcagua \u2014 the highest peak in South America, standing at 6,961 metres (22,837 feet).
\nKhan, taking to Instagram, said she started her climb with an amazing team of nine strong women at 4:15am and reached the summit of the highest peak in South America at 2pm.
\n\u201cThe climb was full of challenges, with one of the biggest being the extreme cold and harsh winds of the Andes,\u201d Khan said. \u201cHowever, with Allah\u2019s grace and your prayers, I successfully completed the climb.\u201d
\nMount Aconcagua, located in Argentina\u2019s Andes mountain range, is the tallest mountain outside Asia and one of the Seven Summits.
\nAccording to experts, Aconcagua is one of the most accessible of the Seven Summits and serves as both a challenging experience for mountaineers and a stepping stone to higher peaks.
\nKhan, known for her dual passion for cycling and mountaineering, is the latest Pakistani to conquer this formidable peak. Other notable climbers from Pakistan include Abdul Joshi, Saad Munawar, Asad Ali Memon, Abdul Jabbar Bhatti, Samina Baig, and Mirza Ali Baig.
