Khyber Medical University (KMU) Institute of Public Health and Social Sciences (IPH&SS) has announced comprehensive reforms to the structure of its Master of Public Health (MPH) program.
\nThis decision, finalized after extensive consultations involving faculty members, postgraduate students, and university leadership, aims to offer greater flexibility and convenience for students.
\nThe new modular format will now include options for morning, evening, and online classes, aligning with international educational standards, including those in the UK. This development positions KMU as a leading institution in public health education in Pakistan.
\nThe decision was made in a pivotal meeting chaired by KMU Vice Chancellor and Dean of IPH&SS, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, with participation from Dr. Khalid Rehman (Director IPH&SS), Prof. Dr. Zilli Huma (Director Academics), Dr. Shaista Rasool (Head of Public Health), Dr. Maria Ishaq Khattak (Head of Dental Public Health), Dr. Shiraz Fazid (Head of Epidemiology & Biostatistics), and other faculty members and students.
\nThe new MPH program structure, featuring morning, evening, and online class options, aims to provide greater accessibility and flexibility, particularly for working professionals and students from diverse backgrounds.
\nThe modular format follows global academic standards, emphasizing a balanced approach between theoretical knowledge and practical application through comprehensive and dynamic educational sessions.
