Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of police and Rangers personnel during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.
\nIn a statement, Senator Rubina Khalid extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred security personnel, saying, \u201cI share the grief of the families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty.\u201d
\nShe strongly condemned the violence and damage to property perpetrated under the guise of protests, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable.
\n\u201cPTI\u2019s behavior contradicts the principles of peace,\u201d she remarked, adding that \u201cterror in the name of protest will not be tolerated under any circumstances.\u201d
\nSenator Khalid criticized the attacks on law enforcement personnel, stating that such actions reveal a \u201cpolitics of chaos\u201d and are a direct affront to the protectors of the nation.
\nShe stressed that political parties should ensure the safety and well-being of the public rather than jeopardize lives.
\nThe senator also rebuked the PTI\u2019s stance toward law enforcement agencies, labeling it \u201ccondemnable.\u201d She expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in KP, attributing it to the provincial government\u2019s failure to address the ongoing crisis.
