\nPakistan\u2019s security forces killed nine terrorists, including two suicide bombers, during an operation in the Bajaur district, according to the military\u2019s media wing, ISPR.
\nThe operation was conducted on the night of October 23-24, following intelligence reports of the militants\u2019 presence in the area.
\nSecurity forces targeted the terrorists\u2019 hideout with precision, the ISPR said.
\nFollowing an intense exchange of fire, nine terrorists were killed. Among those eliminated were two suicide bombers and a key terrorist ringleader identified as Saeed, also known as Qureshi Ustad.
\nA significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered during the intelligence-based operation targeting the terrorists, who were reportedly involved in several attacks targeting security forces and civilians.
\nThe operation is ongoing as security forces continue efforts to clear the area of remaining militants.
\nPakistan\u2019s military remains determined to eradicate the threat of terrorism from the country, ISPR added.
\nCTD arrests three suspected Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in Karachi
\nMeanhile, he Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested three suspected terroritsts linked to the Fitna al-Khawarij group.
\nThe suspects, identified as Farhad, Haji Rehman, and Sagheer, were captured in a raid following intelligence reports, according to CTD officials.
\nThe arrests come after an attack on a police checkpoint in Sohrab Goth, where one officer, Yasir, was killed, and another, Salman Abbas, was injured.
\nFitnatul Khawarij had claimed responsibility for the assault. DSP CTD, Chaudhry Safdar, revealed that the suspects were involved in multiple attacks on police forces.
\nDuring the operation, authorities seized three pistols. The CTD stated that the arrested militants were part of the Molana Bashir faction of Fitna al-Khawarij and had recently been assigned to carry out further attacks.
