\nChief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Thursday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) public meeting in Islamabad has been rescheduled and would now take place on September 8.
\nHe revealed that the scheduled rally in Islamabad has been suspended in accordance with PTI founder Imran Khan\u2019s directive. It may be pertinent to mention here that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan announced that the rally had been postponed and would now take place on September 8 in accordance with PTI founder Imran Khan\u2019s directive. \u201cAfter meeting with the PTI founder in Adiala jail, we decided to postpone the jalsa,\u201d he stated. PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub also confirmed date for the rally was changed on the instruction of Imran Khan.
\n\u201cWe have received information that the government is conspiring to spread anarchy, under the cover of the jalsa,\u201d he maintained.
\nCM-KP Gandapur in a statement issued here said that PTI is ready to hold a rally in Islamabad, warning that its party workers and supporters should not be pushed to the wall.
\nAli Amin Gandapur earlier had said that the party would not try to violate the law on their part but vowed to hold the rally come what may.
\nIt is important to note that Islamabad\u2019s administration had previously decided to deny PTI permission to hold a rally in the federal capital. Despite this, PTI had announced plans to hold a rally at Tarnol Chowk on Peshawar Road at 4:00 PM today.
\nChief Minister KP while addressing the media after the cancellation of the PTI rally, stated that the Jalsa was planned to proceed despite the NOC cancellation, but was halted upon the founder\u2019s orders.
\nGandapur emphasized that the party\u2019s workers were ready and morale was high, but emphasized the need to avoid situations that could spiral out of control.
\nHe reiterated loyalty to PTI\u2019s founder, saying, \u201cOur leader\u2019s call is supreme, and we are ready to withdraw.\u201d
\nThe Chief Minister stressed the importance of upholding the constitution and law in the country, quoting the PTI founder as saying, \u201cIf you stop us, we are still ready to respond to PTI\u2019s call.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
