\nThe Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government\u2019s spokesperson Barrister Dr Saif has criticized the federal government for selling cheap electricity produced in the province back to the province at high prices.
\n\u201cKP generates affordable electricity for the country, but the federal government exploits us by charging exorbitant rates,\u201d Dr Saif said.
\nHe pointed out that the province is denied relief in electricity supply and bills, despite producing cheap electricity.
\nDr Saif also questioned the authority of a federal MNA to announce electricity bill reductions , emphasizing that the federal government owes KP billions of rupees in outstanding electricity dues.
\n\u201cThe federal government must pay its dues and end its discriminatory policies against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,\u201d Dr Saif demanded.
\nBarrister Dr Saif further stated that the mandate-stealing federal government is sitting on KP \u2018s dues like a snake, while keeping the national treasury open only for Punjab.
\nThe people of the province are the most deserving of electricity relief, but instead of providing relief across the country, the government under Form 47 has only extended it to consumers in Punjab.
