{"id":65598,"date":"2024-06-01T09:21:39","date_gmt":"2024-06-01T04:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=65598"},"modified":"2024-06-01T09:21:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-01T04:21:39","slug":"no-talks-with-may-9-perpetrators-asserts-dar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/no-talks-with-may-9-perpetrators-asserts-dar\/","title":{"rendered":"No talks with May 9 perpetrators, asserts Dar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Says attacks on important state institutions are \u2018unforgivable acts of rebellion\u2019<br \/>\nISLAMABAD<br \/>\nDeputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday ruled out the possibility of negotiations with people involved in the May 9 violence, asserting that the government was firmly against talking to those who carried out attacks against the state.<br \/>\nAddressing the media at the Parliament House, Dar stressed his belief in political negotiation and reconciliation but drew a strict line against actions targeting the state.<br \/>\n\u201cIn politics, there should always be reconciliation and negotiations, but there will be no talks with whoever stands against the state, even if we have a blood relationship with them,\u201d he asserted referring to the PTI.<br \/>\nRecalling the 126-day sit-in by the PTI in front of Parliament House, Dar noted that it was resolved through dialogue, reaffirming his support for peaceful negotiations.<br \/>\nHowever, he highlighted the severity of the May 9 events, which included attacks on important state institutions such as the GHQ and Jinnah House, adding that they were unforgivable acts of rebellion.<br \/>\n\u201cNo concessions can be made to the elements involved in the May 9 tragedy. Anyone standing against the state will not be negotiated with, regardless of any personal relations,\u201d Dar stressed. He further emphasised that the stance adopted during the formation commanders\u2019 meeting mirrors the sentiment of every Pakistani.<br \/>\nWhen asked about Justice Athar Minallah\u2019s response to the prime minister\u2019s statement about \u201cblack sheep\u201d in the judiciary, Dar sidestepped the issue, suggesting that inquiries should be directed to the PM himself.<br \/>\nHe emphasised respect for the judiciary and stressed the need for all stakeholders to be on the same page to prevent further setbacks for Pakistan.<br \/>\nDar also spoke on the country\u2019s international standing, dismissing claims of global isolation and highlighting positive economic trends.<br \/>\n\u201cPakistan has come out of global isolation, and economic stability is moving in a positive direction. Inflation is decreasing, and the economy is improving,\u201d he declared, hinting at more favourable developments expected from the prime minister\u2019s upcoming visit to China.<br \/>\nAnswering a question about the budget, he noted the unusual timing of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s budget approval before the federal budget.
