The bus was travelling from Gwadar to Quetta.<br \/>\nPrime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences over the incident, praying for the departed souls.<br \/>\nThe premier also directed the authorities concerned to provide assistance to the injured.<br \/>\nBalochistan\u2019s Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti offered his condolences over the loss of lives in the horrific accident and prayed for those who were wounded.<br \/>\nIn two similar incidents in May, 13 people belonging to the same family were killed and nine others got wounded as a truck plunged into a ditch in Punjab\u2019s Khushab district.<br \/>\nThe accident occurred because of a brake failure on Panj Pir Manawan Road in Khushab, consequently, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the ditch.<br \/>\nThe deceased of the ill-fated crash included women, too, and the family was going to Khushab.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, 20 people lost their lives while 21 sustained injuries after a passenger bus veered off a narrow mountain road and plummeted into a ravine in a remote area of Diamer district, Gilgit Baltistan.<br \/>\nThe mishap took place at the Yashokhal area on the Karakoram Highway in Diamer early Friday morning at around 5:30am, according to police.<br \/>\nThe bus was on its way from Rawalpindi to Gilgit. Meanwhile, the police said there were at least 38 passengers on board.<br \/>\nActing president condoles over deaths in Washuk road accident<br \/>\nActing President Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a traffic accident that took place in Balochistan\u2019s Washuk area.<br \/>\nHe prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved families to bear the loss with fortitude. The acting president also prayed for the quick and complete recovery of those injured in the tragic incident.<br \/>\nRaisani mourns tragic bus accident<br \/>\nThe leader of the Pakistan People\u2019s Party in Balochistan, MNA Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani, has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the loss of lives resulting from the Quetta-bound bus falling into a ditch near Washuk. In a statement, Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani said, \u201cThis tragic incident has claimed the lives of 24 people.\u201d<br \/>\nHe expressed deep grief and condolences to the affected families, urging the government to investigate the tragedy and hold those responsible accountable.
