{"id":65485,"date":"2024-05-30T08:41:31","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T03:41:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=65485"},"modified":"2024-05-30T08:41:31","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T03:41:31","slug":"petrol-price-likely-to-reduce-by-rs5-per-litre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/petrol-price-likely-to-reduce-by-rs5-per-litre\/","title":{"rendered":"Petrol price likely to reduce by Rs5 per litre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Upcoming review<br \/>\nPetroleum Division sources say diesel price is expected to be slashed by Rs4 on June 1<br \/>\nISLAMABAD<br \/>\nPetrol and diesel prices are expected to decline by up to Rs5 per litre in the upcoming fortnightly review, sources told Geo News on Wednesday.<br \/>\nThe Petroleum Division sources said on Wednesday that the per litre price of petrol is likely to go down by Rs5 while diesel is expected to be slashed by Rs4 per litre.<br \/>\nHowever, they said the next two days are important regarding any change in the fuel prices as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) will forward its summary to the Finance Division on May 31.<br \/>\nThe final decision on the petroleum products prices will be made following the Ministry of Finance\u2019s consultation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.<br \/>\nIf approved, this will be the third consecutive reduction in fuel prices.<br \/>\nEarlier this month, the federal government had approved a massive cut of Rs15.39 per litre in the petrol price and the price of diesel was reduced by Rs.788 per litre. Currently, petrol is available at Rs273.10 per litre while diesel is being sold at Rs274.08 per litre.<br \/>\nThe prices of petroleum products are revised every 15 days in Pakistan adjusting them to the trend of global oil prices and the rupee\u2019s exchange rate to the dollar.
