ISLAMABAD
\nIslamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have issued a traffic advisory for Sunday, warning motorists of temporary diversions at different points along Srinagar Highway, from Old Toll Plaza to Serena Chowk, between 3 pm and 6 pm due to the movement of a foreign delegation.
\nAn ITP official told media that traffic diversions would be imposed at different locations and times along the route to facilitate the delegation\u2019s movement.
\nHe said motorists travelling along Srinagar Highway could use Suhrawardy Road and the G-8 service road as alternative routes.
\nTraffic heading towards G-9, Zero Point and Faizabad has been advised to use Faisal Avenue, while motorists travelling on Ninth Avenue should use Service Road East.
\nThe official said citizens travelling from Koral towards Islamabad could use the Old Airport Road, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi\u2019s Murree Road, IJP Road and Faqir Aipee Road.
\nThe official warned that traffic congestion was expected on different roads during the diversions and advised motorists to allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys.<\/p>\n
In case of closures on Koral Expressway, Murree Road and Club Road, motorists have been advised to use Lehtrar Road and Park Road. Similarly, citizens travelling out of Islamabad could use Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road, while those coming from Bhara Kahu towards Islamabad should travel via Bani Gala and Park Road.<\/p>\n
