\nThe closing ceremony and prize distribution of the Woodward\u2019s Trophy U-17 Inter-Zonal Cricket Tournament was held successfully at KCCA Stadium. Zahid Hussain Bhatti Executive Director, Medium Group of Companies said we would continue to support and encourage cricket players at every level in the City.
\nHe was Speaking on the occasion of Prize Distribution Ceremony of Woodward Trophy Under-17 Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament here at KCCA Stadium.
\nHe added that the Chairman of his organisation, Khalil Ahmed Nainitalwala, had been supporting the Regional Cricket Association Karachi since the time he himself to play cricket.
\nHe said the organisation had been sponsoring the region\u2019s talent hunt programmes for many years.
\nAddressing the players, Chief Guest Zahid Hussain Bhatti Further Said that Medicam Group of Companies would continue to support the talent hunt programmes of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi.
\nThis would help young players get more opportunities to show their skills and improve their game.
\nAli Hussain, Secretary of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi and Preside the ceremony, thanked Medicam Group of Companies for sponsoring the tournaments.
\nHe said these events were helping new and talented players come forward, which was a positive sign for the future of cricket in Karachi.
\nHe added that providing opportunities to young players and helping them improve their skills was very important.
\nRegional Cricket Association Karachi Vice President Syed Muhammad Talha said that Zone-VI holds an important role in Karachi cricket.
\nHe credited the Zone-VI coaches for their hard work and dedication, adding that they were playing a key role in training young players and improving their performance under the great leadership Azam Khan.
\nKhalid Nafees Chairman of the Tournament Committee Regional Cricket Association Karachi, said that they had one president and one leader only and only Mr.Nadeem Omar.
\nHe said Nadeem Omar\u2019s services to cricket in Karachi and across the country were unforgettable.
\nUnder his leadership, several steps were being taken to promote cricket in Karachi and provide opportunities to young talent.
\nTouseef Siddiqui, Joint Secretary of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, said that following the successful Under-15 Inter-Zonal Cricket Tournament and then Under-17 Inter-Zonal Cricket Tournament had also been organised and concluded successfully with the full support of Zonal officials and Specially Khalid Nafees and Azam Khan He appreciated their efforts and thanked them for their cooperation.
\nTouseef Siddiqui also extended special thanks to Javed Akhtar Kiyani, saying that organising these tournaments would not have been possible without his support.
\nHe added that the joint efforts of all the people and organisations involved were helping promote cricket in Karachi and providing young players with excellent opportunities to Show their talent.
\nAzam Khan Coordinator RCAK also spoke on the occasion.
\nEarlier in the Final Match Zone-VI Blues won the Tournament after beating Zone-I Whites by 7 Wickets..the highlights of the Match was brilliant Allround Performance by Young Talah Afridi first he capturing 6 wickets for 27 as off Spinner and then scored 51 with the help of 5 fours and s Six.
\nLater Chief Guest Zahid Hussain Bhatti distribute the Prizes. Winner Trophy received by Areeb Noor Captain Zone-VI Blues, Runner Trophy by Azaam Abbasi, Captain Zone-I Whites, Cash Award also given to Best Batsman, Soman Kabir Zone-VI Whites, Best Bowler, Abdullah Zakir Zone-IV Whites Best Wicket Keeper by Mustufa Umair, Zone-VI Blues Man of the Tournament and Man of the final match to Talah Afridi of Zone-VI Blues. Azam Khan Coordinator RCAK also given Cash Award to Talah Afridi due to their outstanding Performance.
\nThe Ceremony also attended by RCAK, Zonal officials and large number of Cricketers and Spectators.
