\nIran\u2019s security chief Mohsen Rezaei on Thursday said negotiations with the United States have been suspended, warning that undersea internet cables, data centres and AI facilities could be targeted by Iran if war breaks out, IRNA reports.
\nMeanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that it had targeted four ships in the northern part of the Arabian Gulf that it said were transferring oil cargoes from one vessel to another.
\nThe IRGC\u2019s naval forces said in a statement that \u201cfires were still burning on the targeted ships.\u201d It added that the four vessels had been spotted transferring oil between ships and were targeted simultaneously for sailing along \u201cunauthorised routes.\u201d
\nThe IRGC accused the US of \u201cencouraging ships to cross a maritime passage planted with mines,\u201d saying this was leading to an \u201cincrease in maritime incidents.\u201d
\nThe statement warned Washington that if the US continued with this approach, the scope of Iran\u2019s response \u201cwould also include American bases in the region.\u201d
\nEarlier, the IRGC Navy said on that four vessels involved in illegal oil transfers in the northern Persian Gulf were simultaneously hit and caught fire after being tracked by its forces on Wednesday.
\nThe IRGC added that three more vessels collided with mines west of the Strait of Hormuz, and warned the US military that continued provocations could lead to a wider response against its regional bases.

\nEarlier, during his remarks at the rally, Trump said the US could end its war with Iran now but wants to ensure that the outcome is lasting.
\n\u201cIt\u2019ll end very soon. We could leave now, but we want to make sure it lasts for a long time,\u201d he said.
