\nDirector General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has made it clear Saudi Arabia\u2019s sovereignty, territorial integrity and the holy sites of Makkah and Madinah are a top priority for Pakistan No compromise can be made in this regard.
\nHe said that if diplomatic efforts fail and military confrontation occurs, the collective deterrence mechanism of the Makkah Alliance would come into action.
\nThe DG ISPR said attacks on holy sites had triggered strong anger among the public and political and military leadership. While Pakistan stance is very clear and unequivocal. Reaching the acceptable solution through dialogue is inevitable rather than further spreading the military conflict in Middle East because escalation in tension will be of no avail for any country.
\nHe said this in an interview with an Arab television channel.
\nSecurity of Saudi Arabia and safety of Harmain Sharfain is of paramount significance for Pakistan. In this regard Pakistan message has already come to fore through political leadership and Field Marshal
\nHe warned that further escalation of tensions at any level would not benefit any country.
\nHe sad Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye share a commitment to peace, stability and prosperity in the region. He said the alliance was not directed against any particular country but was intended to promote regional peace, security and stability.
\nThe DG ISPR called for greater unity among Muslims, saying countries in the region should work together rather than engage in conflict with one another.
\nHe said Pakistan is desirous of peace and stability in the region and supports that problems be resolved through dialogue instead of escalation in the tension.
\nHe laid stress on the stance that Pakistan attaches basic importance to sovereignty of Saudi Arabia and protection of Harmain Sharfain.
