\nRussia fired 70 missiles and also drones in one of its biggest strikes at Ukraine, targeting the Ukrainian energy sector and killing at least 11 people across the country, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said. \u201cOne of the key targets was our energy infrastructure. The Russians wanted to strike painfully and demonstratively,\u201d Zelenskiy said on the Telegram app. \u201cRussian ballistic missiles remain the greatest challenge. And air defence packages for us right now are a vital necessity.\u201d
\n\u201cUkraine has once again been hit by Russian missiles throughout the night,\u201d Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine\u2019s parliamentary commissioner for human rights, said on the Telegram app. \u201cAnother sleepless night, another act of terror, after which people still have to plan their working day despite everything,\u201d he added.
\nRussia launched 130 drones, 48 cruise missiles and also ballistic missiles to attack Ukraine, the Ukrainian air force said. Air defence units downed 161 targets, it said on Telegram. Kyiv and Poltava in central Ukraine, and the southeastern region of Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv in the northeast were the focus of the Russian attacks, the Ukrainian air force said.
