industrial operation in KP: Malik Imran<br \/>\nOur Correspondent<br \/>\nPESHAWAR<br \/>\nSarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed deep concern over the continued restriction on wheat supply to KP from Punjab and described it as completely unconstitutional and illegal, calling to lift the ban to avoid the flour shortage and price hike in the province.<br \/>\nThe issue was taken up by a delegation of Pakistan Flour Mill Association headed by its provincial chairman Naeem Butt, along with former provincial chairman Muhammad Tariq, former vice president Sabir Ahmad Bangash, executive committee member Musarat Shah and other flour millers during a meeting with SCCI\u2019s president Malik Imran Ishaq here at the chamber house on Wednesday.<br \/>\nThe chamber senior Vice President Naeemur Rehamn, and vice president Abid Pervaiz Awan also present on the occasion.<br \/>\nThe delegation on the occasion congratulated the new office bearers of the chamber and hoped that the new cabinet will play an important role toward resolution of issues being faced by the business community.<br \/>\nChairman Naeem Butt apprised the meeting about the unconstitutional ban on movement of wheat from Punjab, what he said was that the move was arising wheat flour crisis and compelling the people to buy the food commodity at a higher price.<br \/>\nHe appreciated the former president Junaid Altaf and his cabinet for effectively taking up the wheat restriction issue with the central government and expressed hope that the chamber will sustain efforts to immediately withdraw the illegal and constitutional ban on the wheat to KP from Punjab.<br \/>\nPresident Malik Imran Ishaq assured the flour millers to take up the issue with federal and provincial governments and would make vigorous efforts to promptly resolve it.<br \/>\nLater, former presidents of the Junaid Altaf, Adeel Rauf, Hasnain Khurshid, Fazal Moqeem Khan, and Faiz Muhammad Faizi, and a delegation of Small Industries Charsadda, leading businessmen, traders, senior members, political figures and people from different walk of life visited the chamber and congratulated Malik Imran Ishaq for being electing as president of the chamber.<br \/>\nPresident Malik Imran Ishaq flanked by his senior vice president Naeemur Rehman, vice president Abid Pervaiz Awan while exchanging views reaffirmed resolve to make all out efforts to address the business community problems.<br \/>\nThe SCCI chief described unfriendly policies and strict regulatory mechanisms as main hurdles in carrying out smooth business and industrial operation.<br \/>\nHe noted the cost of doing business is very high in KP as compared to other provinces, because of the miles of distance from seaport.<br \/>\nPresident Malik Imran Ishaq said immense investment opportunities in diverse sectors were available in KP, especially natural resources like oil, gas, mine, mineral, marble furniture, precious and semi-precious stones, handicraft, tourism and health and other other important sectors.<br \/>\nHe, however, emphasized that there is only required to provide a favorable environment for local as well as foreign companies to invest in these KP\u2019s potentials.<br \/>\nMalik Imran Ishaq disclosed that SCCI will soon unveil a holistic strategy to revive business and industries as well as attracting local and foreign
