\nThe coalition fighting to restore legitimacy in Yemen said that 100 fighter jets took part in Monday\u2019s morning launch of \u201cOperation Dawn of Yemen,\u201d destroying 324 high-value targets. Coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki said their forces are providing air cover to secure the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, while operations against moving targets remain ongoing.
\nThe coalition also said it is providing round-the-clock air support to Yemeni armed forces operating on the ground. Yemeni government forces took control of Thubab near Bab al-Mandab in a flanking maneuver from Kahbub Mountains on Monday. Yemen\u2019s President Rashad Al Alimi declared a a large-scale operation called \u201cDawn of Yemen\u201d to target Houthi capabilities.
\nThe President of the Leadership Council said the operation is to restore state institutions, liberate Sana\u2019a, and end the coup. \u201cWith the will of our people, the bravery of our forces, and the support of our brothers, Yemen will move toward a new dawn\u201d vowed Al-Alimi on Monday.
\nThe Yemeni Armed Forces launched new strikes against areas under Houthi control, said spokesperson for Yemeni Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Majed Abdullah Al-Nuzaili in a post on X. The step follows the political leadership\u2019s directives, he said, after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the start of the battle for liberation to seize state institutions from Houthi control and put an end to the group\u2019s coup.
\n\u201cOur armed forces continue their military operations across various combat axes and fronts according to approved plans.
