Through intellectual development and character-building, teachers help shape generations and strengthen the shared social values of societies. He said Pakistan\u2019s development is intrinsically linked to the quality of its education system and, above all, to the dedication and commitment of its teachers. The Prime Minister emphasized that an inclusive and future-oriented education system responsive to artificial intelligence, climate change, technological advancement and a knowledge-based employment landscape was essential for a brighter future.<br \/>\nHe said students must be equipped not only with knowledge but also with critical thinking, creativity, ethical values, adaptability and the capacity for lifelong learning. The Prime Minister said making the education system merit-based, high-quality and aligned with global standards remains a foremost priority of the government. He highlighted the establishment and expansion of Danish Schools to provide quality education to capable and talented students, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. He said the government was committed to providing teachers with quality professional training, modern educational resources and a conducive teaching and learning environment.<br \/>\nThe Prime Minister highlighted the establishment of the National Institute of Excellence in Teacher Education (NIETE) in Islamabad as an important step towards strengthening teachers\u2019 professional development, research and innovation.<br \/>\nHe said the government was also pursuing curriculum reforms through the National Curriculum of Pakistan in collaboration with provinces and other stakeholders, with a focus on competency, critical thinking, creativity and future needs.<br \/>\nHe further highlighted the government\u2019s emphasis on technical and vocational training through initiatives including the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Skills Development Programme.<br \/>\nThe Prime Minister particularly paid tribute to teachers serving in remote and underdeveloped areas, describing their services as a great national endeavour deserving collective appreciation and support.<br \/>\nHe called upon teachers to continue performing their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication as exemplary educators and nation-builders.<br \/>\nThe Prime Minister expressed confidence that a new generation imbued with integrity, compassion, tolerance, discipline, creativity, mutual respect and patriotism would, Insha\u2019Allah, be capable of shouldering the responsibilities of the future.<br \/>\nENDS\/ONLINE<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his heartfelt appreciation and profound respect to teachers in Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of World Teachers\u2019 Day, acknowledging their vital role in educating and nurturing the youth.
