\nThe Strait of Hormuz will not reopen until seven Iranian conditions set out in a June interim agreement with the US are met, Nournews reported Iran\u2019s parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf as saying on Sunday, a few days after Tehran received Washington\u2019s reply to its diplomatic proposal.
\n\u201cThe Americans, who say something different in the media, have \u200crecently put \u200cforward proposals through a \u200cmediator. \u2060But they must understand that \u2060the period of dragging out the process and dictating one-sided demands is over,\u201d Qalibaf was quoted as saying. \u201cThe position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is completely clear and firm, and the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until our \u200cseven conditions, based \u200con the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, are met.\u201d
\nIranian Foreign \u200cMinister Abbas Araghchi said separately on Sunday \u200cthat a plan put forward by Tehran to resolve its dispute with Washington could lead to the Strait of Hormuz reopening within seven days \u200cif accepted.
