\nThe Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has achieved another milestone by making operational its mega \u2018Business Facilitation Centre\u2019 with the objective to provide the services of various relevant departments under a single roof.
\nThe centre, housing of special assistance counter of various public sector institutions, importantly FBR, NADRA, WAPDA, SNGPL, Police, WSSP, KPBOIT, KPEZDMC, district administration and others was formally inaugurated on Tuesday by Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nThe dream of a state of art Business Facilitation Centre was come into true by vigorous efforts of then SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan, which came to reality and operational form by President Junaid Altaf.
\nPresident Junaid Altaf in his opening remarks during the event described making the BFC operational a mega achievement and gave full credit to his leadership for their patronage and support in accomplishment of this important initiative.
\nSCCI chief also lauded efforts of Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi for \u2018Ease of Doing Business\u2019, and Economic Growth of KP.
\nPresident Junaid Altaf made several demands on the occasion, notably among them, provision of required funds to complete remaining work on Peshawar Expo Centre, giving representation of KP in various federal boards, special economic relief package for revival of industry and business in the province.
\nHe requested the Governor KP to play a role in fulfilling the aforesaid demands by effectively taking up with the central government.
\nGovernor Faisal Karim Kunid while speaking on the occasion said it is a matter of great joy and pride for the SCCI as today its achieved a milestone by making the Business Facilitation Centre functional wherein representation of all departments were available and praised the leadership of the chamber.
\nThe Governor emphasized the need to collectively work for economic growth, peace and development of the province.
\nThe Governor Kundi highlighted that the business community has played a key in economic progress of the country, and it is highly important to strengthen, if they would be strengthened then the economy could also flourish, he remarked.
\nThe Governor anticipated that Good days are ahead and assured that they would continue to support and joint efforts, and collaboration with SCCI for resolving the issues being faced by the business community.
\nGovernor Kundi appreciated the outgoing office bearers of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and expressed best wishes for the incoming President and his cabinet and members of the executive committee of the chamber.
\nWe will work together for the province\u2019s progress, building its soft image and prosperity.
\nWhen the chamber gets progress then there will come prosperity, business and development in the region.
\nLater, responding to various questions of the reporters, Kundi said the long march was postponed for a week, I don\u2019t know what kind of progress will come within a week?
\nHe said they don\u2019t have courage to hold \u2018Long March\u2019, and they are incapable of going to Islamabad.
\nThe governor said KP is terrorism-hit province, wherein a new wave of terrorist attacks occurred.
\n\u201cWe are lifting the death bodies and they are planning to attack the federal capital Islamabad,\u201d
\nRegarding the border closure, Governor Kundi said terrorism activities were being carried out from Afghanistan and India is fully backing Afghanistan to create instability and sabotage the peace of Pakistan.
\nThe Governor Kundi assured the demands and issues being highlighted today, they will make efforts to get relief for business community of KP and full all the demands
\nTo a question regarding imposition of Governor Rule in KP, Governor Kundi repeatedly said the Governor rule will be imposed as per advice of the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan.
\nEarlier, the Businessman Forum leader Ghazanfar Bilour also addressed the event and congratulated the business community for the accomplishment of the mega Business Facilitation Centre.
