LHC while issuing an important decision in alleged forgery and fraud case related to land made it clear the criminal proceedings will not stop if the civil case is pending hearing. Justice Muhammad Amjid Pervaiz of LHC issued 14-page decision on the petition of Allah Wasaya. The court wrote in its decision being the civil case pending is not legal cause for stopping criminal proceedings. As per written decision section 195(1) ( C) will not be applicable if the crime of forgery is committed before registration of civil case. The criminal cases will move ahead as per routine procedure in accordance with the law . The interference by high court in criminal cases during the phase of investigation has no justification.
