Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Friday took notice of a blast at the Old Police Lines in Kohat and strongly condemned the incident, describing it as a \u201ccowardly and unacceptable\u201d act of terrorism.
\nThe chief minister sought a report from the police authorities and directed them to ensure that all available resources were utilised for the immediate treatment of those injured in the blast.
\nHe instructed the health authorities to ensure timely treatment of the injured and availability of all necessary medical facilities at hospitals. He also directed that arrangements be made to shift critically injured patients to other hospitals, if required.
\nAfridi expressed grief over the targeting of innocent citizens and directed the authorities to examine all aspects of the incident and submit a detailed report.
