President Donald Trump\u2019s administration is planning to sell to \u200cIsrael a \u200cmunitions package worth $2.8 \u200bbillion \u200cand \u2060including tens \u200bof thousands \u2060of highly destructive 2,000-pound bombs, according to a US official familiar with the sale.<\/p>\n
The leaders of congressional committees review sales under an informal process, but the objection by Meeks, a New \u2060York Democrat, alone is not enough \u200cto prevent \u200cthe president from going ahead \u200bwith the sale \u200cif he declares that an emergency requires \u200can immediate sale<\/p>\n
