Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has welcomed the Supreme Court\u2019s decision in the case concerning former prime minister Imran Khan, saying the ruling has strengthened public confidence in the judiciary.
\nSpeaking to media representatives, the chief minister said the judiciary remained the people\u2019s ultimate hope for justice and expressed confidence that the Supreme Court\u2019s decision would be implemented fully and without delay.
\nSohail Afridi said PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja had assured the party leadership that PTI workers would gather near the hospital while maintaining peace and discipline. He said the assurance represented a collective responsibility of the party leadership and workers.
\nThe chief minister said the nation remained deeply concerned about Imran Khan\u2019s health and wellbeing, describing him as a source of hope for millions of Pakistanis. He urged supporters to exercise restraint and avoid any action that could undermine the judiciary, the Supreme Court\u2019s decision, Imran Khan or the credibility of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
\nHe also warned that certain disruptive elements with no association with PTI could attempt to create disorder and malign the party. He called on party workers to identify and remain completely dissociated from such individuals.
\nSohail Afridi stressed that PTI workers should remain peaceful and respect the law and judicial decisions until Imran Khan\u2019s recovery. He added that political activities, public gatherings and rallies would continue afterward within the framework of the Constitution and law.
