Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the division of the department\u2019s offices, sub-divisions and staff between Swat and Bar Swat following the administrative reorganization of Swat district.
\nThe meeting was held at the PHED committee room and attended by Secretary PHED Masood Younis, chief engineers, Director Technical and other relevant officers.
\nThe meeting reviewed various aspects of the department\u2019s administrative and technical reorganization in light of the administrative division of Swat district.
\nWith reference to a notification issued by the Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), the meeting reviewed the tehsils and union councils falling within Swat and Bar Swat. Detailed discussions were held on the allocation of PHED offices, sub-divisions, Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and other staff between the two administrative units.
\nVarious proposals were also discussed to ensure the smooth functioning of PHED\u2019s administrative and technical affairs in Swat and Bar Swat and the timely provision of safe drinking water and other public health engineering services to residents.
\nMr Fazal Shakoor Khan directed the concerned authorities to finalise the administrative arrangements for the effective functioning of the department in both areas at the earliest and ensure that the necessary notification was issued promptly.
\nHe said the administrative reorganization must not disrupt the provision of public health engineering services to the people.
\n\u201cThe concerned officers should take effective measures to further improve the provision of safe drinking water and other basic facilities to the people of Swat and Bar Swat,\u201d he said.
\nHe further directed that, under the new administrative setup, offices, officers and staff should be distributed appropriately to ensure continuity of departmental efficiency and effective public service delivery in both administrative units.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
