{"id":101796,"date":"2026-08-18T12:31:45","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T07:31:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=101796"},"modified":"2026-08-18T12:31:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T07:31:45","slug":"kp-orders-door-to-door-data-collection-to-identify-deserving-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/kp-orders-door-to-door-data-collection-to-identify-deserving-families\/","title":{"rendered":"KP orders door-to-door data collection to identify \u2018deserving families\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisor to the Chief Minister for Social Welfare, Zakat and Ushr, Special Education and Women Empowerment Malik Liaqat Ali Khan has directed officials to launch a province-wide door-to-door data collection drive to identify persons with disabilities, transgender persons, orphan children, deserving families, women and other vulnerable segments of society.<br \/>\nHe issued the directives during a meeting with Director of Merged Districts Arshad Barki and the deputy director at his office, where officials briefed him on social welfare activities, public service delivery in the merged districts and preparations for the Data Collection Campaign 2026.<br \/>\nThe advisor directed officials to hold meetings with local parliamentarians in all districts and, with their cooperation, constitute special committees and field teams to conduct the data collection exercise.<br \/>\nHe said the process must be carried out according to the department\u2019s approved proforma to ensure comprehensive and accurate information about vulnerable and deserving people.<br \/>\nMalik Liaqat stressed that transparency and accuracy of the collected data must be ensured at all costs and directed the establishment of an effective monitoring mechanism to oversee field activities across the province.<br \/>\nHe said reliable and comprehensive data would provide a basis for designing more effective welfare programmes and support initiatives, ensuring that government assis tance and facilities reached genuinely deserving people in a transparent manner.<br \/>\nThe advisor said provision of social protection and welfare services to residents of the merged districts remained among the government\u2019s top priorities.
