Organised by US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E NUST) in collaboration with Indus Consortium, the conference brought together key stakeholders from government, industry, academia, financial institutions, and civil society, including the Planning Commission, State Bank of Pakistan, NEECA, Atlas Honda, ezBike, YES Electromotive, SDPI, FPCCI, PAAPAM, LUMS, UOL, and UET Peshawar.<br \/>\nIndustry pioneers, EV manufacturers also showcased their EV products besides the research-based prototypes by academia.<br \/>\nThe exhibition displayed locally designed electric cars, high- efficiency motorcycles, fast-charging stations, battery-swapping hardware, custom battery management systems (BMS), drive motors, retrofitting conversion kits and research-based prototypes of EV components. In his inaugural remarks, Dr. Adeel Waqas, Principal NUST, emphasised the strategic significance of electric mobility in achieving energy security, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting sustainable economic growth.<br \/>\nThe event comprised three comprehensive panel discussions: EV Industry and Infrastructure, Finance and Economics of Electric Vehicles and Policies and Planning of Electric Vehicles.<br \/>\nThe first session, moderated by Ms. Rabia Babar (RF), focused on local manufacturing capabilities and infrastructure deployment. The panellists included Dr. Aazir Anwar Khan (UOL), Mr. Sadullah Ejaz (Atlas Honda), Mr. Shuja-ul-Haq Siddiqui (PAAPAM) and Ms. Mehrosh Fatima (NEECA). Moderated by Mr. Shahid Jilani (Indus Consortium), the second session titled \u201cFinance and Economics of Electric Vehicles\u201d addressed the macroeconomic and financial drivers of electric mobility. Dr. Khalid Waleed (SDPI), Ms. Shaheen Akhtar (SBP), Dr. Huzaifa Rauf (LUMS) and Mr. Syed Yasir Husain (CAC) were the panellists.<br \/>\nThe final session, \u201cPolicies and Planning of Electric Vehicles,\u201d moderated by Engr. Ubaid Ur Rehman Zia (SDPI), focused on the policy, regulatory, and institutional measures needed to accelerate Pakistan\u2019s electric mobility transition.<br \/>\nThe panellists included Mr. Hassan Mian (YES Electromotive), Dr. Attique Ur Rehman (Ministry of Planning, Development &#038; Special Initiatives), Mr. Bilawal Suhag (FPCCI) and Dr. Kaleem Ullah (UET Peshawar).
