Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) has further intensified its humanitarian response in flood-affected areas, with its Khidmat-e-Khalq volunteers continuing rescue, relief and medical operations in communities impacted by recent heavy rains and flooding.
\nRelief activities are underway in Lahore\u2019s suburban localities, including Rachna Town, Rana Town, Ferozewala and Pathan Colony, as well as in Sheikhupura, Muridke and Kamoke. Trained volunteers are assisting stranded residents, distributing essential relief supplies and providing emergency healthcare services.
\nAccording to PMML, 5,854 people and 150 livestock have so far been safely evacuated from flood-hit areas through the deployment of six rescue boats. The organisation is also providing freshly prepared meals to more than 23,500 affected people every day, ensuring uninterrupted food assistance for displaced families.
\nTo meet healthcare needs, 12 mobile medical boat units have been deployed across the affected areas. These units have so far provided free medical consultations, medicines and primary healthcare services to 2,110 patients, while medical teams continue visiting flood-hit communities to treat those requiring urgent care.
\nPMML\u2019s relief teams remain on the ground, maintaining continuous rescue, evacuation, food distribution and medical assistance operations to support families affected by the disaster.
\nPMML Khidmat-e-Khalq Chairman Chaudhry Shafiq-ur-Rehman Waraich said assisting flood victims is both a humanitarian obligation and a national responsibility. He said the organisation\u2019s volunteers are working with dedication to ensure timely relief reaches every affected family.
