\nA US congressional delegation called on Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ, where both sides discussed regional security, defence ties and avenues for enhanced economic collaboration, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday.
\nThe delegation comprised Ryan Keith Zinke, Member House of Representatives (State of Montana) and Michael James, Member House of Representatives (State of Washington), the military\u2019s media wing said.
\nDuring the meeting, discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, bilateral defence cooperation and avenues for enhancing economic collaboration and prosperity.
\nField Marshal Munir highlighted Pakistan\u2019s vast economic potential, emphasising that sustainable regional stability was deeply anchored in economic growth, trade expansion and connectivity.
\nHe underscored Pakistan\u2019s ongoing structural reforms aimed at fostering a business-friendly environment and attracting foreign investment.
\nThe visiting dignitaries acknowledged Pakistan\u2019s critical role in regional stability and economic resilience.
\nRecognising the professional backgrounds and insights of the delegation, both sides discussed potential opportunities for bilateral economic engagement, private sector partnerships and enhancing bilateral trade ties.
