{"id":100305,"date":"2026-07-15T16:06:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T11:06:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/?p=100305"},"modified":"2026-07-15T16:06:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T11:06:13","slug":"saudi-arabia-japan-deepen-strategic-dialogue-on-economic-security-and-future-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nabanews.pk\/en\/saudi-arabia-japan-deepen-strategic-dialogue-on-economic-security-and-future-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia, Japan deepen strategic dialogue on economic security and future partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TOKYO: Saudi Arabia\u2019s Ambassador to Japan Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr met recently with Japan\u2019s Economic Security Minister Kimi Onada for wide-ranging discussions on Riyadh and Tokyo\u2019s evolving partnership and cooperation in strategic sectors shaping the global economy.<\/p>\n<p>The officials explored prospects for closer collaboration in economic security, artificial intelligence, space, advanced technologies, and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>And highlighted the growing importance of culture and creative industries as drivers of economic resilience, national competitiveness, and long-term prosperity.<\/p>\n<p>The discussions reflected the increasingly comprehensive nature of Saudi-Japanese relations as both countries continue to diversify their partnership beyond its traditional foundations.<\/p>\n<p>Binzagr said the next phase of the relationship was not simply about expanding cooperation across additional sectors, but about strengthening the foundations that enable lasting strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most enduring partnerships are built not only through projects, but through trust between people, strong institutional relationships, and a shared commitment to creating value for future generations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening connections among government institutions, academia, industry, research organizations, and emerging leaders, recognizing that sustainable partnerships depend on deep and resilient networks of cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia and Japan have steadily expanded their collaboration in recent years across investment, energy, innovation, culture, tourism, education, and advanced industries.<\/p>\n<p>As both countries pursue ambitious national transformation agendas, opportunities continue to grow for closer coordination in emerging technologies, economic resilience, and future-oriented industries.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting forms part of the broader momentum toward elevating Saudi-Japanese relations into a more integrated long-term strategic partnership, reflecting the shared ambition of both countries to contribute to regional stability, technological advancement, and sustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by embassy diplomats Nayef Al-Talhi, Ahmed Al-Fadel, and Noura Al-Otaibi.<\/p>\n<p>Binzagr said true comprehensive resilience was about connecting security and economy with culture and civilizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn that sense we see great opportunity for Japan and the Kingdom as they continue to reach for  each other with deep cultural curiosity and respect while they explore prosperity, stability and peace for their respective regions and the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Onada is a Japanese politician from the ruling Liberal Democratic Party currently serving also as a minister of state with a broad portfolio that includes economic security, science and technology policy, and space policy.<\/p>\n<p>She is also responsible for AI and intellectual property strategy, the \u201cCool Japan\u201d strategy, and the Society of Well-Ordered and Harmonious Coexistence with Foreign Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1982 in Okayama Prefecture, Onada is a two-term member of the House of Councilors and a Takushoku University graduate.
