ISLAMABAD
\nThe Pakistan Test squad\u2019s training camp for the upcoming tour of the West Indies is underway at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
\nOn the second day of the camp, players participated in a scenario-based two-day practice match designed to simulate match conditions. The exercise aims to help batters build long innings while allowing bowlers to work on extended spells, said a statement issued here.
\nThe scenario-based match is also providing the national Test team\u2019s coaching staff\u2014Sarfaraz Ahmed, Asad Shafiq, and Umar Gul\u2014with an opportunity to closely assess the players\u2019 form, fitness, and overall skills ahead of the tour.
\nBefore the match, the players underwent fielding drills, including ground fielding, slip catching, and high-catching practice.
\nThe Pakistan test squad is scheduled to depart from Islamabad for the West Indies on Monday, July 13.
\nAs part of their preparations, Pakistan will play a four-day practice match in the West Indies from July 18 to 21.
\nPakistan and the West Indies are set to face each other in a two-match ICC World Test Championship series from July 25 to August 10.
